Kitchener-Waterloo is home to Grand River Hospital (GRH), a 500+ bed, acute care centre and St. Mary’s General Hospital (SMGH), a 200+ bed acute care centre.
Both hospitals offer regional programs specific to their site that support the community. These include: Cardiac Care, Cancer Centre, Renal Dialysis, Psychiatry and Mental Health, MRI, Complex Continuing Care and Rehabilitation and Stroke Unit. Both hospitals have undergone extensive expansions and have expanded all services.
